This
map was presented with the 112c Regular Operations Permit Application as prepared by
Mr. Lloyd "Buck" Barnhart on July 20, 1998. The roads where included as shown on the
map and the permit narrative states in the Reclamation Exhibit "E" that the roads will
remain post mining as requested by the lessors. The Reclamation Plan in (a) states the
following:
(a) DcseriP00 of the type of reelamatlon, reasons, earthmoving related to re&tnatloa.
(i) the entire pit area will be reclaimed as rangeland. This use was selected by the landowners as
being consistent with the balance of their ownership adjacent to the affected area. However, the
applicant does not propose to reclaim areas mined by others in years past. Also, the Lessors have
requested that the roads be left unreclaimed for easier access to their grazing areas and possible fire
figlift
The roads where and are an integral part of this mining project due to the remote location
of this parcel of land and the inability to gain access from the westerly direction. The
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR BUREAU OF LAND
MANAGEMENT GRANTED A RIGHT OF WAY SERIAL NUMBER COC-61252 to
Summit Brick & Tile Company on May 6, 1998 for this mine site (see attachment on
FORM 2800-14) issued by the Canon City District. Additionally please see the attached
document dated September 25, 2006 from the BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT
granting SUMMIT BRICK & TILE company no rental fee for the life of the grant, on
RIGHT-OF-WAY COC-61252 for the an exchange of access that the Summit Brick &
Tile Company granted to the BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT easement COC-
69295FD. The main purpose of this R.O.W. is for fire fighting and rescue operations that
may be needed in this remote and rugged area, this is of mutual benefit to both parties.
