The ability of the Division of Wildlife to comment on
land use projects helps us to maintain our wildlife management goals.
Upon visiting the site in question, I foresee no major negative impacts to wildlife from the proposed
development to add the right-of-way easement and access road. There appears to be a plan to effectively
reclaim the land once mining usage is completed, and this will restore the habitat quality to the
landscape. Thus, the CDOW has no objections with this plan moving forward as scheduled. Thank you for
your consideration on this matter. If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact Justin
Olson at (970) 942-7696.
Sincerely,

Bill de Vergie
Area Wildlife Manager
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, James B.
