The required fee of $257.00 for the amendment of this` substitute supply plan has been submitted (receipt no. 3643716). The original plan was approved on May 21, 2001 and it was most recently renewed on December 2, 2008. Plan Operation The Baseline Resources mining area is split into two adjacent sites. The East site is encompassed by an existing slurry wall, and is known as Robert W. Walker Reservoir (WDID 0203358), while the West site is located outside of the wall. For 2010 all mining will occur outside of the slurry wall. Operations at the site are expected to occur during nine months of the year from March through November. . The applicant will dewater the active mining area to allow for dry mining. The dewatering water will be conveyed through dewatering trenches to a 7.18 acre settling pond. An alluvial well has been constructed to provide water for concrete batching and dust suppression. This well is currently permitted under well permit no. 66961 -F (WDID 0210141) and is located outside the boundaries of the slurry wall. In addition to providing 1.66 acre -feet for dust control and 11.19 acre -feet for concrete batching at this site the well will provide 1.67 acre -feet of water for dust control at the adjacent Parker- Dersham Resource site. Depletions Currently 7.6 acres of ground water surface is exposed at the Baseline Resource pit (WDID 0203017) (7.18 acres in the settling ponds and 0.42 acres in dewatering trench).
