Looking at the photos in this area it looks like it has
never had any agricultural activity save for grazing and does not appear to meet the criteria as defined by "prime
farmland". Your thoughts, and do we need a letter as opposed to an email to be the official response from NRCS?
Thanks,
Vern Pfannenstiel
From: Jazwick, Lori - Steamboat Springs, CO [mailto:Lori.Jazwick@co.usda.gov]
Sent: Tuesday, September 29, 2009 12:24 PM
To: Pfannenstiel, Vernon R
Subject: Prime and Unique Farmland
?a?cw?8?;;<>S,r :?.:-::?? -.. >.;??_:r^?g?»`??eW?*c9?3v:?u.; ^•""?=:'?:;- :%84?-.; ??av?F?. .
Mr. Pfannanstiel,
According to USDA/NRCS records and our investigation, soil 50C - Lintim loam 3 to 12% slopes, is a prime
and unique soil for Routt County, Colorado.
