Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />As you know, the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (DRMS) received your <br />objection to the amendment application for Bromely Lakes mine site. <br />The applicant has requested to postpone the Formal Public Hearing and the Pre-hearing Conference. <br />Therefore, staff has re-scheduled the Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. The hearing for consideration of the Bromely Lakes amendment application will <br />occur during the November 12th and 13th Board Meeting instead of the October 7th and 8th Board <br />meeting. The Hearing will be held at the Centennial Building, located at 1313 Sherman Street, Room <br />318, Denver, Colorado 80203. The hearing will commence on November 12th at 9:00 a.m. or as soon <br />thereafter as the matter can be considered, or on November 13th at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as <br />the matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard. <br />The Pre-hearing Conference has been re-scheduled to occur on October 29th, 2009 beginning at 1:00 <br />p.m. The conference will occur at the same address listed above except it will be held in Room 221. <br />Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. <br />Please remember, Failure to participate in the Prehearing Conference will result in the loss of your <br />party status. <br />The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to describe the Office's review process, to explain the <br />rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe <br />the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to <br />simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board <br />Hearing. Please note, pursuant to Rule 2.6 (2), parties are required to provide thirteen (13) 3-hole <br />punched copies of their list of potential witnesses and their exhibits at the Pre-Hearing <br />Conference.
