Box 888
Nucla, CO 81424
Re: C-G-26, Notice of Intent (NOl) P-2009-027, Review and Reclamation Liability Estimate.
Dear Mr. Kramer
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) has reviewed Energy Fuels (EF) application for a Notice
of Intent referenced above. The application is for a drilling project in Mesa County on DOE Lease Tracts. After a
site visit on September 1, 2009 the only issue that needs to be clarified is the exact seed mix that will be
required by DOE for reclamation of the site. Previously noted DOE mixes are similar to the one used to calculate
the revegetation tasks but the required mix needs to be noted for the file.
Please find enclosed the reclamation liability estimate for the project. The estimate is based on sealing bore
holes, reclamation of pads and roads, revegetation of 0.2 acres as proposed. Mobilization was not factored in
as it already is part of another concurrent project and accounted for. Should EF have any issues please contact
staff immediately so that they may be addressed. If the estimate is acceptable please provide written
acceptance as soon as possible. Agreement on the bond is the last issue that needs to be addressed for the
application to be considered complete and ready for approval. Please note DOE has been copied this
correspondence. If DOE has any issues that affect the bond they will need to be addressed accordingly to gain
their final approval.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G. Russell Means
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc: Ed Cotter, DOE Grand Junction Field Office.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
