Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
Re: Bull Canyon Project, Notice of Intent (NOI) P-2008-012, Full Release Request, SL-01, Approval.
Dear Mr. Yancey,
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) received Uranium Energy Corporation's request for a full
release of the Notice on July 27, 2009. The release request is based on the project not going forward and no
disturbance occurring at the site. BLM and DRMS staff visited the site on August 14, 2009. It is noted that UEC
did not create any disturbances to the site. An issue over hole numbering nomenclature arose as the holes
presented on the original map differ from how they are marked on the ground. The discrepancy was cleared in
the field. Both BLM and DRMS would appreciate a final map showing the holes as numbered on the ground for
the file. The issue is not enough to warrant a denial of the release request as far as DRMS staff is concerned
however. Therefore DRMS is pleased to inform UEC that the release request is approved.
Please note that DRMS must have written BLM concurrence in order to release the site. Without the
concurrence the approval may be rescinded. Per Rule 4.16.1(4) the office must wait thirty (30) days to release
the noted warranty in case of an objection to the release decision. If UEC has not received the warranty back by
October 9, 2009 please contact Elizabeth Taliaferro in the Denver Office. She may be reached at 303.866.3567,
ext 8148.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G.
