Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DBMS) has received Jubilee Venture application for a prospecting notice in
Moffat County referenced above. The application is now compliant with SB-08-228 and considered complete for review.
Based on an initial review it appears that Jubilee Ventures has no issues it considers confidential at this time as both Form 1
and 2 appear to be identical. If this is incorrect please contact staff immediately.
An initial review notes the following issues need to be addressed in more detail.
1) While a general location map is supplied, a more detailed map showing the site details, location of proposed drill
holes and apparent location of sample equipment needs to be submitted.
2) Jubilee mentions a sample plant but gives no details as to disturbance area, equipment, process to be used and
final deposition of sample material when sampling is concluded.
3) Regardless of past disturbances drill holes must be reclaimed. Please give.details as to how the holes will sealed
and all disturbed areas re-vegetated. BLM has a preferred seed mix which must be used with DBMS concurrence.
Per Rule 5.1.3 (b), Jubilee Ventures has sixty (60) days from the date of this letter which is August 7, 2009 to address the
above referenced issues. Please be aware that if alt issues are addressed prior to that date staff will issue a final decision.
Where possible a joint visit with BLM is scheduled if both agencies have concurrent open dates. A reclamation liability
estimate for the bond cannot be calculated until the requested information is received.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
0
_. ~ ~~-~
G.
