OF ?~4
For Wildlife-
For People
Recently the Colorado Division of Wildlife received a request for written comments concerning a
reclamation permit amendment in Las Animas County. This permit is known as the Mulletts Excavating
Pit #1 and is operated by Mullet Excavating, LLC. The site has been visited by a Division of Wildlife
representative.
Since the amendment will actually more accurately represent the impacted area of this operation and has
been mandated by the Mined Land Reclamation Board, the CDOW does not have any objections to the
issuance of the amended permit. It is our understanding that the area has already been affected and that
this permit will actually show the affected area as being 23.31 acres, rather than the 13.0 acres originally
specified in the initial permit.
The Colorado Division of Wildlife would like to thank you for the opportunity to comment on this issue.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our Pueblo Office at 719-561-5300.
Sincerely,
?n' 1n.11-Q?
Mike Trujillo
Area Wildlife Manager
Colorado Division of Wildlife
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, Hams D.
