Cattany <br />/ Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Hopemore Shaft and Leadville Mill; Permit No. M-1990-057 <br />Transfer of Permit and Succession of Operators (SO-02); Weather Delay <br />Dear Mr. Hendricks, <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) approved the Transfer of Permit and <br />Succession of Operators (SO-02) for the Hopemore Shaft and Leadville Mill, Permit No. M-1990-035, <br />on April 6, 2009. <br />Calais Resources Colorado, Inc. did not waive the right to a 30-day processing time and submitted a <br />replacement Financial Warranty for the same dollar amount as the Financial Warranty maintained by the <br />previous operator. The Division is required to inspect the site and recalculate the required reclamation <br />bond within 60-days from the date the transfer is complete. The required date to inspect the site is June <br />5, 2009. However, due to the current weather conditions the inspection must be postponed until it is <br />feasible for the Division to access the site and recalculate the required reclamation bond. <br />The Hopemore Shaft inspection is scheduled for June 18, 2009 at 10:00am. <br />If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (303) 866-3567 Ext 8214. <br />Sincerel <br />Pet r S.
