• 8.6 Security and Signs
Project areas requiring fencing will be the areas near public roads where motorists might
inappropriately access the mine area. Where fencing is required, it may be of the cyclone
type, if appropriate, or typical rangeland barbed wire. Access onto the property for
motorized vehicles is gated for control.
The entrances to the Cresson Project are posted with signs that are clearly visible from
County Road 821 and Highway 67. These signs list the following:
¦ Name of the Operator ("CC&V")
¦ That MLRB Permit(s) have been issued
¦ The MLRB Permit No(s).
Where operations are approaching the limits of areas approved for disturbance, and if the
limits of the area that may be disturbed might not be clear, the boundaries of the area that
may be disturbed pursuant to the permit will be marked in a clearly-visible manner
adequate to delineate such boundaries and to thereby inform CC&V personnel of the
limits of disturbance contained in the permit. As part of the MLE, CC&V will review all
• current signs along the property boundary and replace them as needed.
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension
8-3
