fBAPPBR MINING INC.
RECEIVED
AFAR 0 2 2009
March 30, 2009 Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Mr. Jason Musick
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Mr. Musick:
Re: Semi-annual Geotechnical Monitoring Report -March 2009
Trapper is monitoring assorted benchmarks, inclinometers and piezometers that have
been installed to evaluate the landslide area. In accordance with the reporting
requirements approved in TR-99, Trapper is submitting a monitoring report that shows
results to date. During much of the reporting period many of the sites were inaccessible
due to winter conditions.
Attached you will find three categories of data. The first category shows (graphically)
deflection readings in the two inclinometers (07-GI2 and 07-GX6). Multiple readings for
each inclinometer are shown with corresponding dates listed on the right hand side of
each graph. There has been no significant movement detected in the inclinometers.
The second category shows piezometer data. Data for all three remaining piezometers are
shown on one attached sheet. No significant increases in readings have occurred during
the monitoring period.
The third category shows movement data for assorted benchmarks, posts and reflectors.
With the exception of the benchmark located at 07-GX2-CCR and the three posts located
near 07-GX2-CCR on the south/southwest perimeter of the rubblized zone, movement
since the program began has not been significant. The benchmark at 07-GX2-CCR is
located just outside the east slide perimeter. This monument has moved over 16 feet at a
fairly consistent rate over the course of the monitoring program. AAI is not overly
concerned or surprised by this movement given the location of this site.
With development of the slide area slated to begin later this year, a new monitoring plan
is being formulated as a part of Trapper's ground control plan. Agapito Associates Inc. is
in the process of recommending the new program that is geared more towards monitoring
the slide in conjunction with development. This plan will ultimately replace the current
P.O. Box 187 Craig, Colorado 81626 (970) 824-4401
