This BO assessed the <br />impacts of water depletions to the Colorado River system, associated with mining activities, on <br />the endangered Colorado pikeminnow (Ptychocheilus lucius), humpback chub (Gila cypha), <br />bonytail (Gila elegans), and razorback sucker (Xyrauchen texanus) and their critical habitats. <br />The BO was based on the information provided in your biological assessment (BA) for the Red <br />Cliff Coal Mine received in our office September 16, 2008. <br />The proposed action as described by the BA consisted of a new underground coal mine including <br />the construction of mine portals and associated processing facilities.
