<br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118,
<br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 9, 2009, an application to revise coal mining operations at the
<br />Trapper Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and
<br />the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
<br />Trapper has provided updated mine plan for the 5-year permit term, 2008-2012. This plan includes East Ashmore, Flintlock,
<br />East Ashmore, (Z), Gatling, and the new Kimber Pits. Ash disposal will continue in the Ash disposal pit. Two fills are
<br />proposed, Horses fill and Buttress fill. An additional 312 acres of new disturbance is proposed within the current permit area.
<br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is
<br />further described as follows:
<br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />Portions of Sections 25, 26, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor Gulch.
<br />A copy of the revision application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Clerk and Recorder, 221 W Victory
<br />Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office. For additional information, to provide written continents, or to request an
