Box 1153 Natural Resource Trustee <br />Meeker, CO 81641 <br />Re: Rio Blanco County, Pi nce Pit, 112 Permit No. M-2001-07 , /Conversion Application, Second <br />Adequacy Review, CN-01. <br />Dear Mr. Joy: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has reviewed the response to the preliminary adequacy review <br />for the above referenced 112c Conversion application. A few clarifications and issues still need to be addressed. <br />1) Per Rule 6.2.1(2)(b), maps must be prepared, signed and dated by a registered land surveyor, professional <br />engineer or other qualified person. Please submit revised maps that meet the required criteria. <br />- Exhibit A was signed and dated by the map maker. However, Exhibit C and Exhibit F were not <br />signed by the map maker. Please submit maps that meet the required criteria of Rule 6.2.1 (2)(b). <br />2) Please indicate what direction construction material extraction will proceed on the mine plan map. <br />- The direction of construction material is not indicated on the mine plan map. Please submit a revised <br />copy of Exhibit C that indicates the proposed direction of mining. <br />3) Please specify the approximate amount of topsoil to be stockpiled along the southern border of the permit <br />area west of the current permit area. <br />- Response Adequate <br />4) Per Rule 6.4.4 (d), please specify the size of areas to be worked at any one time. Also, please provide an <br />estimate of the periods of time which will be required for various stages or phases of the proposed <br />operation. <br />- The proposed three phases should be indicated on the mine plan map. Please submit a revised copy <br />of Exhibit C that identifies the proposed mining phases. <br />5) Per Rule 6.4.3(e), the pre - mine plan map must indicate the type of present vegetation covering affected <br />lands.
