Also, according to the Divisions records a pre-law excavation is located adjacent to
the mine site please outline this disturbance on the mine plan map.
For the Reclamation Plan map,' it states that the area will be seeded with annual ryye, sweet clover,
and crested wheatgrass. However, according to the approved reclamation plan, ZIoperator
committed to fol`lowin the recommendations of the Soil Conservation Service (SCS) for
reclamation. The SCS recommended that the disturbed area should be seeded with 8 pounds of
pure live seed per acre of Barton Western Wheatgrass, and 4.5 pounds of live seed per acre of
Vaughn or El Reno sideoats grama. Please revise the note on the reclamation plan map to display
the approved seed mixture. Also, the map that was submitted shows the reclaimed slopes based
on the current area that is disturbed, however based on the mine plan map, you indicated that you
will continue .to mine in a western direction. The Reclamation Plan map will heed to show the
gradient of-all reclaimed slopes once the site is fully mined for the entire permit area, please
correct the snaps accordingly.
Please; add or correct the information that is noted above and submit the required fee for the
Technical Revision by March. 2°, 2009.
Thank you,
Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist, DBMS
Cc: Tony Waldron, DRMS
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation nPnvar • rrand Innrtinn . ilnranon e.y:.- -A 1-. ;- LA;-,
