Several issues.still need to be resolved: <br />..First. the proper mine entrance sign and boundary markers were not placed around the <br />permit area. As you_know, a Violation was found by the Colorado Mined Land <br />reclamation Board, and you are required to submit an amendment 4pplication the change <br />the current approved mining and reclamation plan. Given this, the boundary markers will <br />be changed, so that problem% will be addressed during the application process. However; <br />the proper mine entrance.sign still needs to be posted. Please post a sign, which is clearly, <br />visible from the access road.. with the following information: the name of the operator.'a <br />statement that a reclamation permit for the operation has been issued by the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board,. and the permit number (M-2000-115). - Please send <br />photographic evidence that the mine entrance. sign has been: posted.no later than March.. <br />2nd, 2009 <br />Second, it was: noted that `round water had been exposed in. the. pit- excavation: Based on <br />our telephone. conversations and.e-mails, there was a swale'that drained.into the pit. <br />According to your e-mail dated January 7th,2009. this swale. has been taken care of. <br />Weather permitting; the Division will conduct a follow-up inspection to ensure this task <br />has been. completed: <br />Third. tamarisk trees were observed in the pit` excavation. Accordintr to your e-mail <br />dated.
