Colowyo awarded the bid to
Anson Excavating and Pipe, LLC. (Anson) on 13 October 2008 who began building a dredge pad in
the middle of the pond on 24 November 2008. Commencement of the actual Prospect Pond dredging
took place on 1 December 2008.
Exceptional climatic and ground conditions enabled Anson to remove an average of 400 cubic yards
per day over 18 working days, completing the project on 22 January 2009, and well in advance of
Colowyo's previous prediction for finishing the project. A total of 7,202 cubic yards were removed
restoring Prospect Pond to its original volume and function.
Attached, please find a series of labeled photographs depicting the progression of the Prospect Pond
dredge project.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact me at (970)
824 -1578.
Sincerely,
Ryan Pawlowski
Environmental Engineer
Encl. 2 copies
Cc: CF 17.6.8
Colowyo Mine • 5731 State Highway 13 • Meeker, Colorado 81641
T +1 970 824 1500 • F +1 970 824 1504 • www.rtea.com
