Revision comments prepared by 'the Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining; and Safety (DRMS) dated May 16th, 2008 for the Parshall Pit. The <br />information and discussion below address each comment as it was presented by the Division: <br />1. Please supply a detailed diagram that gives the design and actual dimensions of the <br />water-clarification system. <br />A .diagram depicting the water clarification system is included. The clarifier <br />system is approximately 73 feet long and 10.5 feet- wide with a maximum height <br />of 16 feet 9 inches. Along the length of the clarifier, the height of the system. is <br />just less than 9 feet. The clarification system is-composed of a clarifier system, <br />and polymer system of which the 'specified empty weight of the clarifier system is. <br />approximately 38,000 -lbs and the empty weight of the polymer system is <br />approximately 5,100 lbs. The operating weights when full of water and polymer <br />are 189,100 lbs and 23,7001bs, respectively. The water clarification system pump <br />motors will operate at 14.25 horsepower, which includes the hydraulic pump, <br />polymer, transfer pump, polymer metering pump, and mud bin pump. The system <br />-will require three phase, 460 volts for electrical power. <br />2. Please clarify how the water clarification system will be used in the approved post mine <br />land use of rangeland. " <br />Upon completion of the mining operation, the water clarification system will be <br />removed.
