Concerning Item #3, increasing Financial
Warranty for the site: We mailed the required forms and a certified check for the additional
$500 to Elizabeth Taliaferro of your Denver office on October 7, 2008. A copy of the letter
we enclosed to her is enclosed with this letter for your records.
Regarding Items #2 & #4, backfilling the estimated 0.12 acres of off-site disturbances and
upgrading some of the boundary markers, we would like to request an extension to complete
this work until July 31, 2009. Because of the high altitude of the mine site, the weather is
already too bad to allow this work to be done by the stated October 20, 2008 date.
Also, as I stated in my earlier phone calls to you, Gold Mountain Metals, Inc is in contact
with the landowner, James VanElla, and is working with him to file a Request for Transfer of
Mineral Permit and Succession of Operators form to return Permit M-1992-045 to Mr.
VanElla. Assuming we receive the requested extension for completing Items #2 & #4, we
will be able to complete the necessary forms to return the subject permit to Mr. VanElla. In
addition, we will transfer our current $3900.00 Financial Warranty to Mr. VanElla when we
transfer the permit. After the permit transfer is completed, Mr. VanElla will perform the
necessary corrective actions next season, once the weather allows him back into the site.
A fax of this letter followed by a mailed hardcopy is being provided. Please feel free to
contact me if you have any questions. I can be reached via email at
gmtnm@roadrunner.com.
RECF-P YE
Sincerely,
Steven M.
