We recommend removing and storing topsoil and
overburden for use in reclamation. Monitoring and treating the site as necessary for noxious weeds will help
prevent establishment and spread. We suggest continuing the on-site practice of preventing runoff into the creek
channel, which will prevent unnecessary erosion. Reclamation of the site should include shaping the slopes to
match the surrounding topography. Reseeding with native vegetation- compatible with soils, slope and
precipitation will restore the area to previous use, function and appearance.
Thank you for the opportunity for comment. If you have any questions or require additional information please
contact District Wildlife Manager Warren Cummings at 719-775-2025 or via a-mail
Warren.Cummings(a~state.co.us.
Sincerely,
Shaun Deeney
Area Wildlife Manager
xc: File
SE Regional Office
Warren Cummings, DWM
. a..
