Cattany <br />To: Janet Binns / Division Director <br />From: Kent Gorham ?K Natural Resource Trustee <br />CC: Dan Hernandez <br />Subject: Well Abandonment, Marr Mine, C-80-006 <br />Date: September 24, 2008 <br />While roaming about in and around the Marr Mine I noticed some structures in Bush Draw that I <br />thought might be related to AVF investigations in the early days of the mine development. <br />After review of the permit, I am satisfied that these specific structures in Bush Draw are likely <br />not mine related. However, pages 822-6 to 822-8 of the permit (Volume 2) do speak to seven <br />monitoring points around the greater mine area. The points are not shown on Map 5a of the <br />permit but can be generally located on this map. <br />I would recommend that we ask Energy Fuels to demonstrate that these wells have been <br />abandoned and reports filed prior to final bond release. <br />Let me know if you have any questions. <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
