Computer requirements to use the DMG document imaging CD (or.UVD): , <br />1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DMG imaging CD the <br />first time. Future use ofthis or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. <br />2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D?d& . A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. <br />3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for.tif files on your computer that <br />will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs am called "Windows Picture <br />and Fax Viewer" or "paint" and they do not work with QuiekView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers <br />does work. DMG has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.corn? does work with <br />QuickView. After downloading "IrfhnViW., it needs to be configured as your default.tif viewer. DMG does not support or endorse this <br />software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as <br />"imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". <br />Instructions: <br />1. Insert the CD into your computer. <br />2. Allow time for the CD to install. <br />3. Eject the CD from the computer. <br />4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. <br />5. You are ready to view the permit Files. <br />NOTE: A program called QuiekView Autorun, which runs the QuickView <br />soup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun. program <br />does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. <br />Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request <br />with the CD or can be viewed at www.mining.state.coms. <br />The Permit pile document lmaps can be viewed in the reception area of the DMG office or they can be purchased on a CA or <br />DVD. The CDIDVO Purchase cost rovers the time and labor of malting the CD.
