The Fire Pump house was also listed, but unfortunately we have
not taken the samples for the pump house as of yet. Modified performance based, EPA
sampling method 1669 was implemented for the concrete, sediment from ponds and the
soil samples taken below the concrete. Concrete was drilled out with a hammer drill to
soil. Soil samples were sampled from 0 to 5" below surface. Sediment was removed
using a clean shovel. All samples were placed into separately labeled zip lock bags, and
transported overnight to the laboratory in an ice chest.
Included with the analysis results are the QA documents for your review.
Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) was performed on all concrete
samples.
Uranium Total and Radio-chem for Thorium and Radium 226 were performed on soil
samples. Metals Total - Uranium and Radium 226 were performed on sediment.
Please contact me if you need more information or have any questions or concerns
about this matter.
Sincerely,
Amy Thurikill
EH&S Manager
Cotter Corporation
