Natural Resource Trustee <br />Sedalia, CO 80135 Re: Oaklands Ranch Gravel - Oaklands Ranch Gravel Pit, Conversion Application CN-01, <br />Permit No. M-1989-092 ? <br />Douglas County; Adequacy Review 01 <br />Dear Mr. Curtis: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining, & Safety (DRMS) has performed an adequacy review for the <br />application package for the Oaklands Ranch Gravel - Oaklands Ranch Gravel Pit located in Douglas <br />County. <br />The information listed below must be provided before DRMS can complete the review. The decision date <br />for this application is July 1. Therefore, in order to avoid an extension of the application review process, <br />please provide the required information with adequate time for Division review. If needed, applicant may <br />request in writing, by fax if necessary, an extension of the deadline for application review up until close of <br />business on the day of the decision deadline. <br />Application Form <br />There is a discrepancy in the stated acreage. The application form states that the total acreage will be <br />24.68, but in Exhibit C - Pre-Mining Map and Section 2112.01 of the Douglas County USR application <br />the acreage is given as 25.69. Please correct the discrepancy. <br />Rule 3.1.10 Reve etg ation <br />Applicant has indicated different seed mixes depending on whether the land is designated as pasture or <br />natural area. To facilitate calculation by DRMS of the reclamation costs, please provide either the <br />relative proportions of each or the acreage of each area. <br />Rule 6.4.3 Exhibit C - Pre-mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands <br />In addition to a description of the present vegetation types provided in Exhibit J, Rule 6.4.3(e) requires the <br />applicant to portray on a map in Exhibit C the type of present vegetation covering the affected lands. <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
