Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division has reviewed the Colowyo Mine's submittal of Minor Revision 91 - Permit
Volume 1 reformat, and has the following adequacy questions.
1. Throughout the permit volume the Division is referred to as the Division of
Minerals and Geology or DMG. In August 2007 the Division formally
changed its name to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS).
To keep consistency within the permit for all future revisions, it may be
helpful to do a search and replace, changing all "Division of Minerals and
Geology" and "DMG" citations with "Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety" and "DRMS", respectively.
2. There are a fair number of pages (pages 2.05-16 and 2.05-36, for example)
that have the final paragraph of the page running into the footer. This causes a
bit of confusion while reading the permit text. It may be helpful to either
change the font size of the footer or add an additional line between the text
and the footer.
3. The transition from page 2.01-1 to 2.01-2 is off. Please correct this transition.
4. The address for item 2, Special Use Permit 95-11, on page 2.03-8 continues
onto page 2.03-9. Please "roll" the address completely to page 2.03-9 for
clarity.
Office of
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver Grand Junction Durango Active and Inactive Mines
