Dear Sergeant Chavez:
Thank you for scheduling Deputy Jacob Vigil to oversee security for the April 15, 2008 public
meeting at the San Luis school gymnasium. The Division is processing payment for Deputy'
Vigil's services and will forward payment to the Costilla County Sheriff's Office.
On May 12, 2008, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received a request from Battle
Mountain Resources to extend the decision date for the amendment application. The Division
has approved the requested extension.
Due to the extension request, the public meetings previously scheduled for May 28 and June 11-
12 have been vacated and new dates will be set in the future. The Division will inform the C~~ostilla
County Sheriff's Office of the dates, times and locations of the new meetings as soon as such can
be determined.
