Cattany <br />Re: ~'Follo u on Unresolved Problems at the DiRezza Pit - PermitilVumber M-1984-028 Di .on Director <br />- P O Nat al Resource Trustee <br />i <br />Dear r. and Mrs. DiRezza: <br />The above-mentioned site has had one or more problems noted that, according to Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety (Division) records have not yet been resolved. According to our records, the following problem(s) was(were) to be <br />resolved on or before December 1, 2007. Listed below are descriptions and corrective actions for the problem(s). Please <br />resolve the corrective actions and provide evidence of such resolution on or before May 30, 2008. <br />Please note that if the corrective action(s) are not properly addressed, and evidence provided to the Division by the date <br />provided above, the listed problems could be escalated to the level of possible violations and would then be referred to the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board for further action. <br />Permit boundary markers were not posted per Rule 3.1.12 (2) which requires the operator to clearly <br />mark the boundaries of the affected area with monuments or other markers that are clearly visible and <br />adequate to delineate such boundaries. <br />Tamarisk was observed in several sections of the pit. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: <br />The operator shall clearly mark the permit boundary markers and submit photographic evidence of this <br />on or before December 1, 2007. <br />The Operator must either submit a letter to the Division committing the Operator to addressing the <br />Tamarisk problem during reclamation (while regrading the site), OR create a weed control and <br />management plan per Rule 3.1.10(6) on or Before December 1, 2007. This plan should be developed in <br />consultation with the county extension agency, or weed control district office, and should include specific <br />control measures to be applied, a schedule of when the control measures will be applied, and apost- <br />spray monitoring plan. <br />If the problem(s) has have) already been remedied, please provide evidence of its(their) completion.
