The West Elk <br />Mine is an underground coal mine and the disturbed azea covers the life-of--mine facilities azea and <br />several remote areas. During the yeaz of 2007, MCC completed 2.5 acres of permanent reclamation <br />which included grading to approximate original contour, seeding, fertilizing, and mulching areas of <br />the methane drainage wells located behind Shaft No. 3. <br />Attached is a report including photographs, text, and maps showing the locations of permanently <br />reclaimed areas in the Dry Fork, Thermal Event, West Flat Iron, and Lone Pine areas.
