Our office has reviewed the submitted materials.
A search of the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory indicated that there are several historic
irrigation ditches located within the area (Section 36, Township 36N, Range 14W, New Mexico
PM). However, the proposed operation is unlikely to disturb these features in any manner. This
area has not been comprehensively surveyed for cultural resources. Our files contain incomplete
information for this area, and there is the possibility as of yet unidentified cultural resources may
exist within the proposed project area.
Should human remains be discovered during mining activities, the requirements under State Law
CRS 24-80 Part 13 apply and must be followed.
If you have any questions, please contact Joseph Saldibar, Architectural Services Coordinator, at
(303) 866-3741.
Sincerely,
~v~~ ' W
~6~Georgianna Contiguglia
State Historic Preservation Officer, and
President, Colorado Historical Society
OFFICE OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION
303-866-3392 * Fax 303-866-2711 * E-mail: oahp@chs.state.co.us * Internet: www.coloradohistory-oahp.org
-1- - -• -- -: Tom...-.~.
1300 BROADWAY DENVER COLORADO 80203 TEL 303/866-3395 FAx 303/866-2711 www.coloradohistory-oahp.org
