4.02 SIGNS AND MARKERS <br />4.02.1 SPECIFICATIONS <br />EFCI will post and maintain all signs and markers required by Section 4.02. All <br />signs will be of uniform design and will be placed so as to be readily seen and <br />read. The signs will be made of durable material capable of withstanding the <br />snow and cold weather typical of the permit area. All signs will conform with <br />local ordinances and codes. <br />4.02.2 MINE AND PERMIT IDENTIFICATION SIGNS <br />Appropriate signs identifying the Southfield mine and loadout areas will be <br />displayed at all points of public access. These signs will indicate the EFCI <br />company name, business address, telephone number, and the identification <br />number of the current mining and reclamation permit. Identification signs will <br />be maintained until all disturbed areas have been released from bond. <br />4.02.3 PERIMETER MARKERS <br />The perimeter of all areas affected by surface operations or facilities, will be <br />clearly marked with steel fence posts. Perimeter markers will be maintained <br />throughout the life of the operation. <br />4.02.4 DURATION OF MAINTENANCE <br />EFCI will maintain signs and markers throughout the period of active operation <br />to the point of bond release. Signs and markers will be maintained and/or <br />replaced as necessary. <br />4.02.5 STREAM BUFFER ZONE MARKERS <br />No stream channels requiring buffer zones as defined under Section 4.05.18 <br />exist within the permit area.
