We continued to mine in Stage 1 this year but did not disturb any new areas. On July 16th, 1990 we sub- mitted a Temporary Supply Plan and well permit for water with the Div. of Water Resources. The permit has not been issued as of this date. We have been working with the Corp of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on a wetlands issue at this pit and have agreed to leave 8.76 acres ± of the existing wetlands on the west part of the property (lite green) as well as 8.41 acres ± of riparian habitat in the north central area of the pit (dark green). They believe this will improve the wildlife habitat along the river. Please refer to the 1989-1990 Annual Report Map attached for locations of the areas discussed in this text. We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regula- tions. 2.41 (1) Mining continued in the Stage 1 lake area disturbed in previous years. Stage 5 is still used as processing plant sites. An addition 3.45 acres ± between the conveyor line and the lake shore was partially mined this year. There was a 5 month period when the lake was de-watered and mining took place on the lake bottom at that time.
