Interoffice Memo May 1, 2002 To: Kent Gorham From: Janet Binn Re: Raton Cr ek e, C- 2-055, 2000 Annual Reclamation Report CC: Dan Hern The Division has reviewed Raton Creek Mine's 2000 Annual Reclamation Report. A summary of the report and requirements of the submittal in accordance with Rule 2.04.13(1) follows: a) Name and address ofpermittee and permit number. The permitee and operator is: Energy Fuels Mining Company 1190 County Road 92 P.O. Box 459 Florence, CO 81226 b) Location and number of acres disturbed during that year. No new acreage was disturbed in 2000. c) Location and number of acres bacl<~Iled during that year. No new acreage was backfilled in 2000. d) Location and number acres topsoiled during chat year. No new acreage was topsoiled in 2000. e) The species, location and number of acres of vegetation planted during that year, including any augmented seeding or cultural practices. Energy Fuels Mining company seeded 3.4 acres on the refuse disposal area in 2000. The location of the seeding is shown on Figure 1 included with the report. Seed mixes used are provided in the Annual reclamation report. The seed mix named "Raton Creek-Interseed" species and seeding rates agrees with the seed mix listed on permit page 525, "Table 3 Inter-seeding Mixture". The seed mix "Table 3" minus the shrub species was drill seeded a[ a rate of 9.73 PLS lbs./acre and "Table 3 seed mix" including the shrub species was broadcast at a rate of 19.6 PLS lbs/acre. ~ Location, number of acres and date ofplanting for all previous/y revegetated areas. 29.4 acres have been seeded since 1995. Figure 1 shows the location and dates of seeding of all the reclaimed areas.
