Daily samples of the tailings pond and the collection pond <br />are analyzed on-site, weekly samples of the post detox are analyzed on- <br />site. TR-010 specifies a simple monthly average for regulating pond <br />compliance. The January averages are as follows: <br />Tailings Pond <br />Collection Pond <br />Post Detox <br />1.14 ppm CN-wad, <br />0.26 ppm CN-wad, <br />2.39 ppm CN-wad, <br />1.39 ppm CN-total <br />0.37 ppm CN-total <br />3.18 ppm CN-total <br />The January simple averages show compliance with our permit :standards of <br />3.8 ppm CN-wad and 4.4 ppm CN-total. Samples collected on ~'anuary 3 and <br />le were sent to Core Laboratories for outside lab verification. <br />In response to your February 1, 1996 letter, the mill was operational <br />again on January 31, 1996.
