With the Division's and
County's approval of the Amendment, which expanded the permitted acreage, gravel mining
commenced to the north of the azea previously disturbed. Overburden was pushed up along the
western, and will be distributed across the pit floor when mining in that direction has been
completed. The lazge draw in the middle of the permit area was filled approximately half-way
with compacted soil, and the grouted riprap run-down was constructed to handle flows that cross
the permit azea.
A portable crusher was in operation at the site from October to December of 2005, and again
from April through July 2006. The crusher produced road base materials and aggregates for use
in hot mix asphalt. Anew hot mix asphalt was constructed in the Cugnini Pit during the spring,
replacing an older portable plant.
Approximately one acre of ground was hydro-seeded and hydro-mulched. This occurred on the
2H:1 V slope at the downstream end of the draw that was partially filled. We continue to monitor
noxious weeds on site through the efforts of a contract sprayer.
The $688.00 covering the Annual Fee was mailed to your office on 07-Jul-2006. This letter and
the attached map are submitted as fulfillment of our reporting obligations for the year beginning
21-Jul-2005.
Sincerely,
`'~~`a' ~ : 4.a~o
Marcia L.
