Producers will be stockpile at Boulder's 63'~ Street WTP, Boulder's Betasso WTP, and
Longmont stockpile at their WTP. For this year, we would seek approval of the North ;trea only as
we have additional monitoring of groundwater level and quality for the South azea. The City has had
excellent experience with the application of WTP residuals as a top soil. Excellent growth of native
grasses on slopes as great as 2:1 at our 1994 reclamation of Conda pit mine above Eldorado Springs.
I have included portions of a poster presentation presented at the 1996 High Altitude Revegetation
Workshop m Fort Collins by David Buckner and Lynn Riedel. Post-monitoring of Conda site has not
exhibit any phosphorus deficiency. In fact the vegetation cover had developed to an erncent beyond
that typically found in the first year stands.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 441-4080.
Sincerely,
Paul Heppler
Resource Recovery Specialist
