M-77-195, M-77-196 and
M-77-197
Dear Ms. Ary:
Please disregard the formal public hearing notices sent to you on June 2, 1987
for failure to pay annual fees for file nos. M-77-196 and M-77-197. These
notices were sent in error since the annual reports and fees for all three
operations captioned above were received on May 22, 1987. I am sorry for this
error.
A review of your annual reports for file nos. M-77-195 and M-77-196 shows that
you state that these operations are no longer active (and are to remain
inactive during this next year). Please be advised that Rule 1.6 (copy
enclosed) delineates the duties of the operator whose mining operation is in a
state of temporary inactivity.
Please review this Rule carefully and notify us concerning the status of these
operations. If the operations are in temporary cessation, please submit a
Notice of Temporary Cessation for each one that complies with the requirements
of Rule 1.62. The start of the five-year temporary cessation period for each
operation should be specified in the Notice and should be the date on which
the mining operation ceased. If, on the other hand, one or both of these
mining operations should not be considered to be in temporary cessation,
please outline the reason that the operation (or operations) should still be
considered to be active.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
