The cross-reference table
between sample identification numbers, sample types and sample locations is also attached. As
specified in TR-006, calculated free and wad cyanide values for the process point samples are
enclosed.
All required sampling was completed. Analyses that have been received are enclosed and those
that have not been received will be forwarded to you as soon as they are sent to me. Field and
rinse blanks were collected os part of the QA/QC and are also included here.
The NANO/RO water treatment plant operated intermittently during the month. A total of
10,394,400 gallons of water was treated and discharged into Rito Seco during the month of April.
Quarterly sampling was completed except for well SF-1. As discussed with you, the well currently has
a very slow recovery time and will be sampled later in the quarter.
Work on the stormwater diversion on Waste Rock "C" was completed.
Work began on the stormwater system from the West Pit backfill.
All surface water stations were inspected and RS-4 and RS-6 were found to be dry.
Vacuum on the lysimeters was verified and no water was present to sample.
When we checked the piezometers on the main embankment of the tailings impoundment on
4/27/00, the piezometers were dry or contained below 12 inches of water.
The two west pit piezometers were measured for depth to water on 4/27/00, with the following
result: BF-1 was 25.32 ft and BF-2 was 28.78 ft. The other piezometers in the West Mine area were also
checked with the following result: PW-1 was 26.24 ft, PW-2 was 26.47 ft, PW-3 was 34.25 ft and PW-4
was 30.25 ft.
A SUBS/D/AR}' OF BATTLE M1fOUNTA/N GOLD COh1PANY
P.O.
