DMG Permit No. M-88-112 <br />October Monthly Sampling <br />Dear Mr. Dillie: <br />All required sampling was completed during the month of October. <br />The water treatment plant discharged a total of 10,684,600 gallons of water (32.79-acre feet) into Rito Seco <br />during the month of October. <br />All surface water stations were inspected weekly and RS-4 and RS-6 was found to be dry. <br />Vacuum on [he lysime[ers was verified and no water was present to sample. <br />The piezometers on [he main embankment of the tailing impoundment were checked on October 31", [he <br />piezometers were dry or contained below 12 inches of water. <br />The west pit piezometers were measured for depth to water on October 31", with the following results: <br />BF-1 was 28.75 fl., BF-2 was 32.28 ft., BF-4 was 26.91 f[. and BF-6 was 31.75 ft. The other piezometers in the <br />West Mine area were also checked with the following result: PW-1 was 29.17 ft., PW-2 was 29.34 ft., PW-3 was <br />36.41 ft, and PW-4 was 30.72 ft. <br />The underdrain was measured a[ approximately 39.5 gpm. <br />The collection pond leak detection system was pumped on October 31"; the leak was approximately 5 gpad. <br />The seeps remain dry. <br />With DMG approval a total of 936,400 gallons (2.87-acre feet) of water was pumped from the evaporation <br />system collection ponds to the tailings impoundment during October. <br />Sincer , <br />Da 'd E.
