Monitoring at all sites was conducted in
accordance with the approved plan. There were no apparent problems with water quality or
quantity data repported. There is, however, one area that needs clarification. Hayden Gulch
Terminal, Inc. (HGTI) includes in the report information from monitoring conducted by Hayden
Gulch Coal Company (HGCC). While this is helpful in terms of historic water quality in the
area, HGTI fails to make clear the fact that the data from HGCC was taken from different sites
than those currently used by HGTI. It would probably be helpful if HGTI included a map of
the former monitoring site locations, and/or a brief discussion of when and why the sites were
reestablished at new locations.
SLB\]01194.WP
