The attached diagram was prepared from a stadia survey taken
upon completion of the work. The slopes draining into the channel
and over the face of the bench were over the 5% requested. The channel
generally showed variations from 1.6% to 2.2% slopes with a short
3.2% slope on the north end. The overall average slope on the channel
was 2.1%. The bottom of the channel is a flat area 7 feet wide and
banks of the channel are the adjacent slopes, 12 - 20%, rather than
the 2v:lh designs.
Re vegetation work on the bench will be done this fall. The final
reclamation shrub seed mix will be broadcast seeded and approximately
1 ton of straw mulch per acre will be distributed on the 0.8 acres.
Due to the shallow slopes and location, netting will not be done.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Larr~ M. Reschke, P.E.
Protect Engineer
LMR:jp
Enclosure
