On March 5, 2002 the
Division of Minerals and Geology (the Division) completed the review of the 2000 ARR. Basin
responded to this review in August of 2002. The Division issued a review of the 2001 ARR on January 23,
2003. Basin is submitting this letter and attachments in response to [he 2001 review.
1. The revision to the 2000 ARR table F). is also valid for the 2001 ARR. Note that the reclamation
of the 7200 substation was cited twice in the original and 2000 modified table F). This
duplication has been deleted resulting in a net reduction of 0.09 reclamation acres as compared to
the 2000 revised table.
2. The titles for categories B-E should reference 2001. These Typographical errors have been
corrected.
3. The 2003 ARR will include maps showing the bleeder fan and Apache canyon sites.
4. The statement in category G has been revised to reference the 1998 Annual Reclamation Map.
5. Page 2.05-21 of the permit's reference to "...estimates of interim reclamation activities which
occur prior to final reclamation will be monitored in the third growing season following
seeding" refers to contemporaneous reclamation activities not seeding as part of final reclamation.
An evaluation of the areas seeded in final reclamation was completed in July of 1998 and
submitted to the Division as justification for pond removal. Basin believes the results of this
study satisfy any interim requirements for a reclamation study prior to the reclamation
assessments required by the Final Bond Release process.
-1-
