~ ~ iii iiiiiiiii~iu iii
~~~
• EXHIBIT A -LEGAL DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION MAPS
The Van 4 Mine is located on Monogram Mesa in Montrose County,
Colorado. The land controlled by Energy Fuels which makes up this mine
consists of 16 contiguous unpatented mining claims as detailed in Exhibit G. At
approximately 7.4 acres, the shaft and dump site make up the majority of the
affected area and can be described as a portion of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
Section 29, Township 46N, Range 17W, NMPM. In addition there is one vent
shaft that services the mine in the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section
29, Township 46N. Range 17W; NMPM. It is estimated that the disturbance at
this vent site is 1/2 acre. Should mining resume at this site, an additional
ventilation hole will be required, again with an estimated affected area of less
than 1/2 acre. While engineering is not completed for this hole, its location will
most probably be in the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4, Section 28, Township 46N,
Range 17W, NMPM. Therefore, the total existing disturbed area is 7.9 acres,
with a potential to increase to 8.4 acres.
An area location map (scale 1:500,000) is shown in Figure 6.3.1.1 and the
mine's location is plotted on a 7 1/2' quadrangle (scale 1:24,000) in Figure
6.3.1.2.
•
