' ; <br />FOR: Steve Hinkemeyer July 14, 1999 <br />West Pit Fill Construction Report <br />On June 29, 1999 1 inspected the area in which the West Pit Excess Spoil Fill (West Pit Fill) is <br />being constructed. The purpose of these inspections is to verify proper construction of the Wes[ <br />Pit Fill according to the requirements of Permit C-81-019 and fulfill the CDMG Rule <br />4.09.1(] la). <br />During the Quarter approximately 3,000,000 LCY was placed on the 7375, 7425, and 7450 <br />dumps. Included in this volume was approximately 150,000 CY of reclamation grade backfill <br />which was placed on the outside of all dumps except the West Pit Fill expansion (as submitted to <br />the CDMG during the quarter). <br />Of the 3,000,000 LCY placed in [he West Pit Fill approximately 2,500,000 LCY was placed into <br />the West Pit Fill expansion. Pictures 122-125 show the expansion without reclamation grade <br />backfill An estimated 300,000 CY of reclamation grade backfill will be placed on the outside of <br />these dwnps during the 3rd quarter of 1999 to finalize the expansion. <br />I have included Pictures 126 and 127 showing the regrading and reseeding of the 7050 contour <br />ditch which was re-established following my 3rd Quarter 1998 inspection. <br />Attached to this report is my certification that all construction requirements have been met thus <br />far in constructing the West Pit Excess Spoil Fill during this quarter. <br />~~~~ <br />Brian K.
