The pit is about forty feet
wide at the top and tapers to about fifteen feet at the bottom. About
four thousand tons of limestone materials were dozed to one end of the
pit for testing and, hopefully, production purposes.
About thirty tons of quarry-run materials were crushed and screened in a
portable unit in Craig. This test indicates that about ten percent of the
quarry material is dirt. and other fines, and that the balance is high
qualitx chemical grade limestone.
