QbNi. Gf 1'~AiUiul ROSOUlC05 <br />Rule 2.41 (I): Location and number of acres affected during the year. <br />In the western portion of the pit we have mined 4 acres of Land in 1984. We have <br />not stripped any area in 1989. <br />Rule 2.41 (2): Locations and number of acres reclaimed for that year. <br />No area has been reclaimed in 1984. <br />Rule 2.41 (3): The Location and number of acres in various stages of reclamation <br />(backfiLled, graded, topsoil replaced, revegetated). <br />No stripping or topsoil replaced in 1984. <br />Rule 2.91 (4): The species of vegetation planted, the location and approximate <br />dates of planting. <br />In 1979, 45.9 acres were seeded by Randall and Blake, This is the only seeding <br />that has occurred since the 1976 permit was approved, The attached letter sent to <br />you in 1983 from Arkansas va11y Seeds, Inc. to Randall and Blake shows what was <br />seeded and the seed analysis show the quality of the seed. <br />Rule 2.4I (5): The type and approximate quantity of fertilizer, organic material, <br />or soil conditioners used and location of use. <br />No record exists of what soil amendments were used on the seeding project. It <br />can only be assumed that some fertilizer was applied, However, none was called <br />for in the permitted plan or in the S.C.S. recommendation. It appears this will <br />have to remain unknown until some definite information is acquired. <br />Rule 2.41 (6): An appraisal of the success of reclamation efforts, and in the event <br />of failure of any efforts, a short narrative of the suspected or determined cause <br />of such failure. <br />The grass is growing on the area and appears to be of similar cover to the sur- <br />rounding areas which are rather sparse. <br />
