Colorado 81434 <br />September 30, 1985 <br />Re: Professional Certification <br />Elk Creek Underground Development <br />Waste Disposal Area <br />Somerset Mine C-022-81 <br />Dear Mr. Price: <br />I am registered by the State of Colorado as a Professional <br />Engineer and am experienced in earth cuork construction. <br />Rule 4.09.1 requires that development waste disposal areas be <br />certified quarterly during construction by a Registered Pro- <br />fessional Engineer. Permit C-022-81 contains designs for the <br />Elk Creek Underground Development Waste Disposal Area. The <br />waste disposal area is being constructed under my supervision. <br />This waste disposal area has been inspected and is being con- <br />structed as specified in the design approved by the division. <br />To the best of my knowledge, this development waste disposal <br />area is in compliance with U.S. STEEL MINING CO., INC., Somerset <br />Mine Permit C-022-81. <br />William P.
