Hidden Valley Pit
MLR No. M-98-024 Tax I.D.#
Dear Barbara:
Enclosed is the Annual Report for the past year for The Hidden Valley Pit of B&B
Excavating, Inc., including map and report form. Pas[ records show that the annual date
for the pit is August 3 of each year. The financial warranty for the permit is $83,155 and
the total permit area is 183.6 acres, although Eagle County has limited the ]0 year
operation area to 29.2 acres as shown on the enclosed map. The mining and reclamation
plan is not phased.
The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1:
(1) Approximately 0.05 acres of new disturbance occurred in the past year where the
access road enters the site in the south central part of the permit area as shown on the
enclosed annual report map. No salvageable topsoil was available from of this small area
since the gravel was within 2 inches of the surface. A barbed wire fence was placed
around the 29.2 acre area and the irrigation ditches were moved to accommodate the
operation. No real disturbance has yet occurred in the 29.2 acre mine area. The access
road was widened to the property and was covered with compacted gravel. Amore-
defined inside drainage ditch was also added to the access road.
(2) No reclamation could be done in the past year since mining has just begun. As soon
as this area is completely mined, the area will be reclaimed.
