CEC has reissued the 1994 Annual Hydrology Report (AHR) in
which most of the issues raised in the letter are addressed. The enclosed reissued
report inGudes revised text, and new figures, tables and appendices. The only items
that are not reissued are the large format figures. We have included labels and an
instruction sheet to change the figure numbers on these large format sheets.
~ Resoonse to Saecific Comments
1. The contour map of the Middle Sandstone Potentiometric Surface shows a westerly
gradient while the text indicates a southerly gradient.
The text has been changed to indicate the southwest to west-southwest
gradient of the Middle Sandstone potentiometric surface (Page 4).
2. The TDS value of 1474 mg/L for post-mining water quality does not appear to be in
the PHC of the permit.
The permit will be revised at the time of the mid-tens review to reFlect this new
value.
3. 1?age 8 of the PHC (?) refen;nces alluvial well figures that are not included in the
PHC (?).
Figures 19 and 21 showing historic water levels and conductivity levels are
inGuded with this transmittal. In addition, the Williams Fork Alluvium Potentiometric
Surface map (new Figure No. 20) was inGuded in the original submittal of the 1994
AHR.
~ 4. The flow data for the No. 1 Strip Pit was not included in the report.
The flow data for the No. 1 Strip Pit is presented in Appendix 4.
