(BMRI) - San Luis <br />Activities <br />During the week of November 1, 1993, construction activities <br />were limited to final preparation of the compacted soil <br />liner along the East dike, completion of the synthetic liner <br />installation, placement of liner cover material on the North <br />dike, and stockpiling of liner cover material in the borrow <br />pit. Jim Dillie inspected the site on November 3. <br />Due to delays in the project schedule, construction <br />activities will be required during early winter weath r <br />conditions. A memo addressing the Division s concern on <br />cold weather construction activities is enclosed. <br />Additional laboratory permeability testing of the lin r <br />cover material has been completed and is enclosed. T~e lab <br />data indicates that the drainage blanket will perform as <br />intended. <br />Settlement marker information is enclosed. The markers <br />continue to be surveyed daily. <br />The following is a summary of construction activities for <br />the week of November 8, 1993: <br />-Continue stockpiling and placement of liner cover material <br />on the north side of the facility. <br />-Prepare roadways for Caterpillar Model 777 hauling of <br />embankment fill material. <br />-Resume construction activities for the main embankment. <br />Sincerely, <br />~Ma~ ~~ <br />Alana L.
